摘要: BACKGROUND: The objective of this study was to assess the incidence primary breast cancer (PBC) and contralateral (CBC) in patients who had BRCA1/BRCA2-associated epithelial ovarian (OC). METHODS: From database Rotterdam Family Cancer Clinic, BRCA-associated OC without a history unilateral (BC) (at risk PBC; n = 79) or with BC CBC; 37) were selected. The control groups consisted unaffected BRCA mutation carriers (n 351) previous 294), respectively. risks PBC CBC calculated using Kaplan-Meier survival method death considered as competing event. RESULTS: Women lower 2-year, 5-year, 10-year (3%, 6%, 11%, respectively) compared (6%, 16%, 28%, respectively; P .03), although they considerably higher mortality rate at similar time points (13%, 33%, 61%, respectively, vs 1%, 2%, < .001). In BC, nonsignificantly than those (0%, 7%, 34%, .06), whereas (19%, 55%, 4%, 21%, .001). CONCLUSIONS: Patients developing subsequent OC, dying from greater BC. These data may facilitate more tailored counseling for patient subgroup, confirmative studies are warranted. 2013. © 2012 American Society.
