摘要: This paper describes the gravimetric analysis on acidic corrosion of mild steel in presence different concentrations Gmelina arborea bark extract at room temperature. G. lowered rate from about 0.6mm/yr to as low 0.04mm/yr, which brought very high inhibition efficiency values 94% an optimum value 96% after 40 hours exposure. The mechanism adsorption was investigated using Langmuir, Temkin and Freundlich isotherms. A mixed (physisorption chemisorption) proposed. Adherence inhibitor metal surface spontaneous given negative Gibb’s free energy adsorption. Langmuir isotherm confirmed that physisorption occurred but showed more chemisorption occurrence than physisorption.
