The Use of hCG for Inducing Ovulation in Sheep Estrus Synchronization Impairs Ovulatory Follicle Growth and Fertility.

摘要: Currently, there is an intense effort to find alternative hormone eCG induce ovulation after estrus synchronization treatments in sheep. One of the proposed alternatives based on use hCG, but results are controversial since fertility rates commonly affected. The present study aims evaluate, therefore, adequacy hCG protocols for and ovulation. Ovarian follicle dynamics, occurrence behavior subsequent ovulation, quality corpora lutea, pregnancy rate controlled natural mating were assessed two consecutive trials. findings indicate that low reported administration inducing during sheep may be related a high abnormal follicular growth patterns, disturbances, retardments concomitant formation cysts treated females. These preclude their practical application concomitantly estrous treatments.
