摘要: Free-living populations of wolves (Canis lupus Linnaeus, 1758) and brown bears (Ursus arctos regularly cause damage to livestock in the Abruzzo region Italy. The laws provide for compensation payments owners losses caused by predators. In present paper, 4,993 validated claims made between 1980 1988 are examined. Losses ascribed wolf, bear wild boar attacks were 92.1%, 7.8% 0.1%, respectively, total predators during this period. victims wolf mostly sheep goats (45.0%) equids (38.5%), followed cattle (16.4%) rabbits, fowl dogs (0.2%). Bears also principally attacked (67.6%), other targets being (18.5%), (9.5%) bee-hives (4.4%). A significant difference was observed number bears; although both similar size. Other statistically differences have been periods which take place on different predator species reportedly damage. Among equids, new-born or young animals, while among only adult animals attacked.
