Role of daytime hypoxemia in the pathogenesis of right heart failure in the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

摘要: Although right heart failure is a recognized complication of obstructive sleep apnea, the incidence and pathogenesis this have not been established. We therefore studied 50 consecutive patients with apnea to determine factors involved in its development. Six (12%) were found failure.
