摘要: European foulbrood (EFB) is an infectious disease of honey bees caused by the bacterium Melissococcus plutonius. A method for DNA isolation and conventional PCR diagnosis was developed using hive debris, which non-invasively collected on paper sheets placed bottom boards hives. Field trials utilized 23 bee colonies with clinically positive symptoms 21 without symptoms. Bayes statistics were applied to calculate comparable parameters EFB diagnostics when honey, or samples adult bees. The reliability 100% at 6.7 × 103 Colony Forming Unit M. plutonius in 1 g debris. sensitivity sampled 0.867, 0.714, 1.000, respectively. specificity tested matrices 0.842, 0.800, 0.833. predictive values tests from selected populations 52% prevalence 0.813, 0.833, real accuracies 0.853, 0.750, 0.912, bees, It concluded that debris can effectively be monitor colonies.
