摘要: The teaching of English for Young Learners has become a global phenomenon, but many countries are facing dilemma in terms teacher preparation (Nunan, 2003; Kaplan, Baldauf, & Kamwangamalu, 2011). Indonesia is no exception. Its pre-service system not been adequate to sufficiently prepare elementary teachers with knowledge and skills pertaining their occupational needs. Moreover, systematic ways overhaul the remain yet be seen. This study investigated perceptions language educators on educational policy measures improvement education better teachers. findings validate need redesigning curricula as well specific also highlights importance training scheme EYL. Although implications derivational from Indonesian present context, they may shed some light quandary currently faced by other similar dilemma.
