摘要: Since Parkinson’s original description, the C5 collaterals are always presented as originating from a common trunk (meningo-hypophyseal). This is least frequent anatomical variation. In fact, posterior (C5) group of corresponds to remnant two transient embryonic vessels (primitive maxillary and trigeminal arteries), branches which will give rise main groups this area: medially, inferior hypohyseal medial clival arteries; laterally, basal tentorial lateral arteries, constantly anastomosed with ascending pharyngeal artery.
