Effects of Food Restriction on Cardiac Output and Blood Flow to the Uterus and Placenta in the Pregnant Rat

摘要: Cardiac output and blood flow to the uterus, ovary placenta were determined at day 21 of gestation in rats fed ad libitum a standard diet or 50% control intake from 5 gestation. Restricted had lower body weights, smaller fetuses placentas marked reduction but not endometrium myometrium. These animals also cardiac output. However, percent distribution whole was similar restricted rats. Results suggest that food restriction decreases expansion uterine placental by interfering with which normally occurs pregnancy.
