Associations between father availability, mealtime distractions and routines, and maternal feeding responsiveness: An observational study.

摘要: Responsive feeding and frequency of family mealtimes are related to healthier eating behaviors weight outcomes in children adolescents. Distractions at greater intake unhealthy food a less positive mealtime emotional climate. However, there is little understanding the effects routines father availability on distractions meals, limited research investigating among all members maternal practices toddlerhood. This study aims characterize examine associations between availability, distractions, observed responsive feeding. Descriptive analyses, nonlinear mixed models, path analyses were conducted using observational (home-based mealtimes) self-report data collected from subsample families (n = 109) 18- 24-month-old larger STRONG Kids 2 Study (N 468). Between fathers, mothers, children, spent almost half distracted. Fathers mothers engaged about equal amounts more technology-related than parents. Fathers' absence was associated with child responsiveness. Lower paternal total non-technology-object-related higher household income significantly Future should investigate how may be directly indirectly children's outcomes.
