摘要: The increasing availability and installation of computerised feeding milk monitoring technology in Australia New Zealand has led to an increased interest individual cows different amounts types supplements during milking. There is, however, confusion about the potential benefits individualised strategies compared with same amount supplement all herd. majority bail research conducted over past 30 years identified little difference cow response, between flat rate more complicated approaches split or yield. However, it must be noted that many these experiments involved animals unlimited access a forage source. Large variability response within herd implies there should benefit from practices. This review examines for pasture-based dairy systems, considering both system (pasture allowance) level parameters (dry matter intake, yield, genotype, bodyweight etc.) could affect particular supplement, discusses current limitations future challenges implementing this on farm. Recommendations are made address any knowledge gaps.
