摘要: The anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) contains a granulated, mixed culture segregated into compartments. Operation of four reactors under range hydraulic retention times showed that this novel design offers highly efficient performance in the conversion carbon feed stream to methane and dioxide. parameter varied was number COD removal at 20 h time routinely over 95% all reactors, with low washout biomass. Very high specific reaction rates were achievable (although loss efficiency) biomass concentrations loading rates. In order optimize volumetric rates, tradeoff has be made between concentration, granule size, resulting mass transfer limitations. Formate is shown an important intermediate process conditions loading.
