摘要: ObjectiveThis study was designed to evaluate the effect of argon laser irradiation on development and progress enamel demineralization around orthodontic brackets. Materials Methods: Fifty caries-free, intact human premolars were randomly assigned one following five equal groups: Groups 1 (control) 2: The brackets bonded using conventional halogen light for 40s 10s, respectively. Teeth in group 3 lased with 10s before bracket bonding light. Group 4 same as except that also laser. In 5 samples conventionally, immersed an artificial caries solution two days then irradiated All subjected by 10 days. After removal, buccolingually sectioned evaluated polarized microscopy. Decalcified lesion depth each section measured a trained examiner blind fashion. Data analyzed SPSS 14 one-way ANOVA Tukey’s HSD post hoc test. Results: control showed greatest mean while revealed lowest. laser-treated groups had significantly lower compared (P<0.05) (P=0.192). Conclusion: Argon or during can increase resistance demineralized enamel.
