摘要: Dr Frankel's study of the rapid transformation traditional medical care among Huli New Guinea by Western treatments strikingly combines methods social anthropology and epidemiology. Until 1950s used only their own form therapy, including symptomatic treatments, specialist surgery major ritual intended to enlist support spirits. Since then, superficially at least, there has been a rejection many measures corresponding enthusiasm for underpinned Christianity.
