摘要: A battery energy storage system (BESS) for a utility scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant is proposed. PV systems suffer from intermittency and partial shading problems, which could lead to fluctuations reduce grid stability. Utilities' inability service the contracted load might hefty penalties by regulators. To effects of on output, BESS proposed multilevel inverter with medium frequency transformer link. This also enables plants participate in short-term markets. The rated at 10% rating. interfaced dc bus through bidirectional 3-level boost-buck dc-dc converter, controlled regulate flow. Analysis shows that rating capable providing real support mitigate insolation intermittencies 80%. operation charging discharging modes are discussed this paper. design example 125 kW provided simulation results validate capability.
