RESIDENTS’ PERSPECTIVES OF A WORLD HERITAGE SITE: The Pitons Management Area, St. Lucia

摘要: Abstract This study examined the factors that influence local community residents’ support for Pitons Management Area (PMA) as a World Heritage Site and their Sustainable Tourism Development. Community Attachment, Environmental Attitudes Involvement in PMA were hypothesized independent variables. Results of structural equation modeling analysis using 319 resident samples suggested Attachment positively influences behaviors, indirectly behaviors through Perceptions about PMA. Level was not found to have any significant relationships. The notable lack involvement residents presented critical implications sustainability site.
