摘要: This paper introduces a method to measure regret theory, popular theory of decision under uncertainty. Regret allows for violations transitivity, and it may seem paradoxical quantitatively an intransitive theory. We adopt the trade-off show that is robust transitivity. Our makes no assumptions about shape functions reflecting utility regret. It can be performed at individual level, taking account preference heterogeneity. data support main assumption people are disproportionately averse large regrets, even when event-splitting effects controlled for. The findings robust: similar results were obtained in two measurements using different stimuli. reliability method: its could replicated stimuli not susceptible strategic responding.
