摘要: Abstract The optical transmissivity (and especially the reflectivity) of a multilayer electrochromic smart winow TM glass structure can be reversibly modulated by an electrical current pulse; and modulation is spectrally selective. This important forbuilding vehicle windows for other electro-optical applications. Thin film solid state ionic materials are key elements such structure. Their roles some their states development at Tufts particularly developent layer) discussed. Also discussed prototype all electrochemically reversible, five-layer window devices. These devices employ: lithium-insertable rf sputter-deposited polycrystalline WO 3 that exhibits reflection as layer, lithium-inserted sputter deposited In 2 O or thermally V 5 counterelectrode layer; LiNbO ion conducting (solid electrolyte) ITO (Sn-doped ) undoped films transparent layers. exhibit useful operating characteristics indicate robust economical practical could soon become commercial reality.
