摘要: Agaricus blazei Murill is a medicinal mushroom native to Brazil. It used be source of antitumor and immunoactive compounds considered health food in many countries. In the present study, it was examined effects water extract A. (WEAB) on growth human lung carcinoma cell line A549 order investigate anti-proliferative mechanism by WEAB. Treatment cells WEAB resulted inhibition, morphological change induction apoptotic death dose-dependent manner as measured MTT assay flow cytometric analysis. Flow analysis revealed that caused G2/M phase arrest cycle, which associated with down-regulation cyclin A both transcriptional translational levels. treatment induced marked up-regulation cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk) inhibitor p21, however, levels Cdk2, Cdc2, Wee1, Cdc25C p53 expression were remained unchanged treated cells. addition, inhibited cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 mRNA protein without alteration COX-l expression. Taken together, these findings suggest may potential chemotherapeutic agent for control carcinorma further studies will needed identify active confer anti-cancer activity Once such are identified, mechanisms they exert their can begin characterized.
