摘要: Abstract Effects of continuous and discontinuous feeding regimens on growth survival Argopecten purpuratus larvae the partitioning energy in juveniles are presented. Larvae from a single cohort were cultured under three regimens: (1) fed once day, (2) twice day (3) continuously, while keeping total daily amount food equal for each treatment. regimen had faster higher than those discontinuously. Early same conditions as larvae. Organic weight, content, filtration rate, oxygen consumption excretion rate measured after 16 days these regimens. Maximal increase shell length ash-free dry weight was attained by continuously. No significant difference content found between groups individuals. Juveniles continuously showed metabolic or day. Ingestion ammonia did not differ significantly among individuals Results indicate there is better assimilation both regimen.
