摘要: In the context of assessing detectability coalescence two neutron stars (NS) by currently built gravitational wave experiments, we present a way obtaining an upper limit to rate in Galaxy. We consider NS/NS progenitors just before second supernova explosion. combine theoretical understanding orbital dynamics at NS formation with methods empirically estimating pulsar birth rates and derive few mergers every 105 yr. Such Galactic implies possible detection "enhanced" LIGO up 10 per year.
