摘要: Abstract Spark plasma sintering (SPS) was used to sinter gas-atomized Zr 57 Cu 20 Al 10 Ni 8 Ti 5 amorphous powder. Systematic analyses were performed study particle size and annealing time effects on the parts structure properties. Partial devitrification particles welding observed correlated thermal conditions. Mechanical testing, through compression micro-hardness, reveals that sintered show strength similar a quenched bulk metallic glass damaging before failure. However, pulsed current input does not seem most relevant way powders: during initial stages (when necks are small), excessive over-heating is generated in vicinity of necks, responsible for partial devitrification; further at large leads complete densification. Effects stress, thermo- electro-transports evaluated provide better understanding SPS mechanisms densification glasses.
