摘要: The rise in popularity and use of computer-mediated modes communication such as email synchronous chat have resulted the potential for new delivery methods mental health services. present study investigated dynamics an initial counseling session held a environment between therapists-in-training at various graduate programs across country trained confederate posing client. Transcripts from online sessions were analyzed to investigate therapist responses interventions environment. Therapists-in-training also asked respond questions concerning their satisfaction with experience, relationship they able form client, previous experience. Participants gave assessment client responded statements about counseling. Results demonstrate that therapists-intraining expressed more positive views after had conducted terms therapeutic alliance desire future training; however, participants negative amount work could be accomplished during sessions. accurately diagnose client's presenting concerns conclusion session. implications directions research practice are
