摘要: Abstract Friction surfacing is a novel solid-state process with several advantages over conventional weld overlay processes. In this work, the corrosion behavior of AISI 316L stainless steel coatings made using friction and manual metal arc welding processes was comparatively evaluated. surfaced exhibited superior general pitting resistance compared to coatings, while both were found be immune intergranular corrosion. Compared alloy bulk material, showed better resistance, but considerably lower resistance.
