摘要: Th e ability of modern medicine treating,healing and prolonging life are so advanced that an n d without resuscitation ICU manoeuvres would seem inconceivable, regardless the prejudices it generates. Still, there should be certain limits imposed by promotion best interests patient respect his/her dignity, medical act being considered based on notions "beneficence" "futility". Medical decision-making process, especially for terminal patients, must balanced relevant from medical, ethical, psychological, social, cultural, religious legal points view. This paper presents case a paediatric patient with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, numerous meningo-cerebral relapses, discussing theoretical indication withdrawing vital support in relation to practical possibilities implementing this decision. The conclusion is parents' autonomy regarding withdrawal treatment, as well responsibility teams situations where non-treatment represents only alternative interest aspects require analysis regulations. In absence framework clear protocols paediatrics, entire decisions concerning end patients transferred parents team.
