摘要: Purpose Neurotoxic effects of brain irradiation include cognitive impairment in 50% to 90% patients. Prior studies have suggested that donepezil, a neurotransmitter modulator, may improve function. Patients and Methods A total 198 adult tumor survivors ≥ 6 months after partial- or whole-brain were randomly assigned receive single daily dose (5 mg for weeks, 10 18 weeks) donepezil placebo. test battery assessing memory, attention, language, visuomotor, verbal fluency, executive functions was administered before random assignment at 12 24 weeks. composite score (primary outcome) individual domains evaluated.
