摘要: In optical microscopy and acoustic emission (AE) experiments, the development in time space of drying shrinkage cracks hardened cement paste a composite containing mono-sized glass particles has been studied. The results indicate two types restraint, i.e. self-restraint specimen/structure, aggregate restraint. plain initially develop perpendicular to surface, but may subsequently grow parallel surfaces. composites particles, restraint causes continuous growth microcracks. AE monitoring revealed that almost instantaneously at onset drying. Several parameters elucidate details process. techniques are complementary: is suitable for temporal assessment, whereas very well suited measuring crack geometry.
