摘要: The clinical and physiologic features of 28 infants with Pierre Robin syndrome those 20 various types nasal obstruction were reviewed to determine whether different causes upper airway obstructure may lead a common syndrome. patients had no significant differences in distribution main manifestations. Their included cyanosis respiratory distress, apneic spells, oropharyngeal dysphagia, vomiting, failure thrive, cor pulmonale, brain damage, sudden death during sleep. manifestation appeared be an caused by glossoptosis, which occurred mainly wakefulness. Upper led hypoxemia, which, many instances, was not associated hypercapnia relieved oxygen administration. It is concluded that regardless specific cause, any results decreased inspiratory pressure overcoming the maintaining genioglossus action glossoptosis-apnea
