摘要: Abstract Studies have evaluated dental hard tissues characteristics from animal species in order to be used as a substitute for human teeth. The aim of this study was evaluate the radiodensity and hardness bovine enamel dentin, varying teeth age. Five specimens (1 mm thick) were obtained animals aged 20 (B20), 30 (B30), 38 (B38) 48 (B48) months 30-years-old third molars (H). radiographic images taken with phosphor plaque digital system (Digora Optime). Knoop (KHN) recorded (100 g 15 s—5 indentations per specimen). Data analyzed by one-way ANOVA following Tukey's HSD test Dunnet's two-sided t -test. Radiodensity similar within groups, but dentin presented higher than one regardless age groups. Enamel-KHN showed differences between B20–B30 B38–B48–H, dentin-KHN all Enamel always more radiodense also KHN ( p = 0.001). use or should take into consideration age, general rule it recommended select older due better chances find greater similarity
