摘要: This article reviews the historical context, indications, techniques, and complications of four posterior fixation techniques to stabilize the subaxial cervical spine. Specifically, wiring, laminar screw fixation, lateral mass pedicle are among common methods of operative spine. While wiring now rarely used, both technically challenging present risk significant if performed incorrectly. With a sound understanding anatomy rigorous preoperative evaluation bony structures, provide safe reliable method for spine fixation.
