摘要: Employing the social and political ontology of Iris Marion Young, this paper evaluates claim as to whether or not fat people are subject to oppression on basis their weight. It establishes clear criteria for what constitutes (exploitation, marginalization, powerlessness, cultural imperialism, violence), well a compelling epistemological argument need to conceptualize structural relations at level groups. provides psychoanalytic account embodied subjectivity, considers implications fat-hating culture subjectivity in light ontology. Further, it documents way these fatphobic cultural norms have impacted women, with particular emphasis history anorexia. Lastly, interrogates medical literature surrounding obesity qua disease, how 'obesity epidemic' is both produced by, coconstitutive of, process biomedicalization in late capitalism.
