摘要: The purinergic receptor family contains some of the most abundant receptors in living organisms. A growing body evidence indicates that extracellular nucleotides play important roles regulation neuronal and glial functions nervous system through receptors. Nucleotides are released from or leaked nonexcitable cells neurons during normal physiological pathophysiological conditions. Ionotropic P2X metabotropic P2Y expressed central (CNS), participate synaptic processes, mediate intercellular communications between neuron gila glia other glia. Glial CNS classified into astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, microglia. Astrocytes express many types receptors, which integral to their activation. release adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as a "gliotransmitter" allows communication with neurons, vascular walls capillaries, Oligodendrocytes myelin-forming construct insulating layers myelin sheets around axons, using signaling for development myelination. Microglia also known function immunocompetent CNS. ATP work "warning molecules" especially by activating microglia Studies on could facilitate novel therapeutic strategies disorder
