A global perspective of food market integration : a review

摘要: This paper analyses the state of art research on food market integration, classifies it and provides a comprehensive bibliography for researchers with interest in integration. A thorough review literature published between 1990 2014 integration generated 65 articles in-depth analysis. Findings show that majority has concentrated relatively more identifying degree linkages among markets but not its implications. The also identifies following factors as very important increasing/decreasing integration: physical infrastructure, institutions, information, competition, power, trade, social capital, public/government intervention export restrictions/ban. further several areas future research.
