摘要: The objective of this study is to empirically clarify the scale effect in long-term consolidation behavior. Frictional pressure loss arising at interface between ring and specimen must be considered, when thickness increases. This uses a special oedometer that can evaluate quantity frictional loss. Incremental loading tests are carried out order normal test using with height 20 mm. ratio generally exceeds 0.2 less than approximately 300 kPa, rather overconsolidation range. Consequently, series inter-connected type tests, which minimized by limiting each element, investigate range 20-200 end primary (EOP) clearly identified excess pore dissipation. law squared H essentially valid for water However, EOP becomes unclear strains decreases. compressive strain stays constant or slightly increases thickness.
