Psychometric analysis of the Stunkard-Messick Eating Questionnaire (SMEQ) and Comparison with the dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire (DEBQ)

摘要: The factor structure of the Stunkard-Messick Eating Questionnaire (SMEQ) differs from that Dutch Behavior (DEBQ). Using students and members a weight watchers club, we factor-analyzed responses to SMEQ produced solution which was different obtained by Stunkard Messick, but had some similarities DEBQ. “External” taste items “internal” hunger loaded on same factor, finding inconsistent with externality theory consistent common sense notion appetite strength. Although our suggests instability SMEQ, stability DEBQ appears be consequence restricted range compared items.
