摘要: A number of different criteria for recognizing glacial-marine deposits and distinguishing them from other glacial nonglacial exist. These are outlined in this paper. Unfortunately, most investigations inferred sequences have relied on only a few these criteria, the used vary with investigators. Also, some major misconceptions about sedimentation exist; result our poor understanding modern environments. As result, there is dispute over origin many diamictite- and/or lonestone-bearing sequences.
