摘要: Congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction occurs in 5 % of newborn infants. In this chapter we outline the theoretical mechanisms behind embryogenesis and etiologies congenital obstruction, as well discuss important diagnostic factors when evaluating children with condition. We divide possible conditions that affect upper system those lower highlight entities unique to each system. Other may cause tearing a are also discussed. This allows for better understanding different embryologic abnormalities anatomic sites obstruction.
