摘要: Abstract FTIR studies of CO adsorption have been carried out on Cu supported ZnO, Al 2 O 3 , and SiO . The reducibility as well the surface structures metallic particles formed were found to differ various supports. active state copper was be metallic-like in all systems. relative ease reduction specific methanol synthesis activity decrease according to: Cu/ZnO>Cu/Al ≫Cu/SiO Changes potential gas result reversible structural changes for Cu/ZnO but not Cu/Al or Cu/SiO Under moderate reducing condition, results suggest that crystals ZnO expose predominantly (110) facets. more severe conditions, significant observed these cannot solely explained by distribution planes. Instead, IR transmission higher will lead an increased number oxygen vacancies at spreading crystallites. Moreover, large downward shifts band under conditions migration zinc onto resulting formation a Cu–Zn alloy. proposal is seen accord with recent science theoretical investigations. tendency form alloy depends critically gas. It suggested observations dynamic catalytic properties catalysts influenced reaction involving destruction
