摘要: Abstract Selenium (Se) occurs naturally in a range of oxidation states as volatile species or analogues organic sulphur compounds. Over narrow concentration ( 3 mg/day) it possesses toxicological properties. Low levels the element most foods including milk and infant formulae require sampling procedure to be followed use certified reference material. Accurate quantitative analysis is dependent on initial digestion stage food matrix reduction Se(VI) Se(IV) final determination. In view difficulty obtaining some reagents (e.g. 2,3-diaminonapthalene), alternative procedures classical fluorometric technique need evaluated. Methods for determination Se are described detailing detection limits, sensitivity, interferences matrix-related problems.
