摘要: Abstract The assessment of different policy options represents a major tool for decision-makers in Biosphere Reserves, to develop more-resilient strategies sustainable development and visualise unintended consequences these policies. In this work we analyse eight measures proposed by agents order meet the main objectives environmental sustainability, included Action Plan Fuerteventura Reserve (Spain). We quantified effects terms sustainability thresholds 10 indicators, also Plan, which was integrated dynamic model. Their behaviours under allow determination whether will be met period 2012–2025. Although some indicators would improve measures, fitting certain objectives, negative on other confirm existence trade-offs among objectives. For instance, grazing limitation proportion high-quality vegetation but negatively affect Egyptian vulture population, even fall below its threshold. definition each indicator allows establish way prioritise analysed. results show that are insufficient four (the landscape indicator, renewable energy, per capita primary energy consumption carbon dioxide emissions). Focusing remaining six following rule “ Threshold out, measure out ”, seven exceed should avoided. Only one option, aimed at growing fodder feed cattle restored traditional agricultural lands, not any thresholds. However, presents regarding related flagship species houbara habitat population), require compensation measures.
