Evidence of chemical transfer in fresh or salt water during UV irradiation of plastic debris

摘要: After use, discarded plastics can stay in outdoor environment if their conditions of storage are not enough safe. They will be then exposed to climatic factors (UV solar radiations, heat, rain, pollution,…) and end up freshwater or marine water. submitted photo ageing a consequence possible size reduction through fragmentation process which results micro plastic formation. In parallel the macromolecular polymer undergo chemical oxidation mechanism leading formation degradation by-products. We have studied examined how chemicals molecules transferred from solid pieces aqueous medium along this process.
