摘要: Exponential growth of the peer-reviewed literature and breakdown disciplinary boundaries heralded by genome-scale instruments have made it harder than ever for scientists to find assimilate all publications relevant their research. The widespread adoption title/abstract word search, primarily through National Library Medicine's PubMed system (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed), was first major change in way bioscientists found since origin Index Medicus 1879.
