The impact of matching the patient's vocabulary: a randomized control trial

摘要: Background. Research in general practice emphasizes the importance of matched models, beliefs and vocabulary consultation. Objective. The present study aimed to explore impact unmatched on patient satisfaction with consultations. Methods. took place one inner city practice. Patients (n = 62) were randomized either or consultations when consulting for problems relating sexual bodily function anatomy. Matched required doctor use same as patient. Unmatched medical vocabulary. Completed questionnaires received from 60 patients. main outcome measure was (using Medical Interview Satisfaction Scale). This assesses total has four subscales: distress relief; communication comfort; rapport; compliance intent. Doctor consultation also assessed. Results. results showed that two groups comparable demographic variables satisfaction. However, patients group had significantly higher scores ratings rapport, comfort, relief intent than those group. Conclusion. indicate a doctor's choice affects immediately after using can improve outcomes.
