摘要: Summary The effect of bran ingestion on the flora human digestive tract was studied using two methods: quantitative enumeration various microbial populations faecal flora, and a demonstration antagonistic exerted by against potentially pathogenic bacteria environment. Since this latter study cannot be effected in subjects, we used model constituted axenic mice inoculated with patients' flora. Faecal samples from 3 donors receiving bran-containing diets were obtained prior to treatment 30 days thereafter. These into exenic fed diet or without bran. dominant floras donors, before after ingestion, highly similar. gnotoxenic resembled those no change resulting presence could observed. drastic permissive barrier effects Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans Pseudomonas aeruginosa not modified diet. large variability between animals difficile masked any possible role Study transit Bacillus spores mouse groups showed existence differences according origin floras, but absence
