摘要: Asthma prevalence is reportedly low for children of Mexican descent compared with other ethnic groups and Latino subgroups. The results our exploratory ethnographic research among farmworkers in California dramatically suggest otherwise. Unstructured semi-structured open-ended interviews photovoice methods were combined to explore the lived experiences members a marginalized farmworker community. This gives voice population families living highly toxic, yet agriculturally wealthy environment San Joaquin Valley. Little work has been reported employing photovoice, community-based participatory method, study childhood exposure pesticides. A rich narrative about perceptions pesticide emerged from interviews. Thematic analysis yielded beliefs relationship between air quality asthma. findings that asthma should be reviewed within context local levels environmental principles justice.
