摘要: Sequence analysis of the actVA region actinorhodin biosynthetic gene cluster Streptomyces coelicolor revealed a succession six open reading frames (ORFs), all running in same direction and extending over 5.32 kb. The protein product actVA-ORF1 strongly resembles that another gene, elsewhere act (actII-ORF2), which codes for trans-membrane previously implicated export from mycelium. This suggests two products may co-operate export, perhaps being sufficient self-protection organism against suicide. At least four other five ORFs are control C-6 C-8 ring-hydroxylation reactions, lacking mutants, occur at middle to late stages pathway. conclusion was reached by genetic mapping mutants actVA-ORF3 and-ORF5 (and -ORF4), finding strong resemblances between actVA-ORF2 -ORF6 genes oxytetracycline or tetracenomycin clusters have been reactions biosynthesis these aromatic polyketide antibiotics.
