摘要: AbstractRed mud (RM) is a large quantity waste product in the production of alumina. There still no efficient way to deal with it world. Using RM as raw material synthesise Mg–Al–Fe ternary layered double hydroxide (LDH) feasible solve this global problem. The synthesised LDH was characterised by X-ray diffraction. flame retardant and thermal degradation properties ethylene-vinyl acetate/layered hydroxide/graphite powder (EVA/LDH/GP) composites have been studied using cone calorimeter test (CCT), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetry–Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (TG–IR). CCT data indicate that heat release rates EVA/LDH/GP decrease greatly comparison those EVA, EVA/RM EVA/LDH composites. morphological structures charred residues observed SEM give positive evidence compact char residue layers formed from TG–IR used characterise volatilised products form...
