摘要: Abstract The development of anemia during infection with Trypanosoma musculi was demonstrated in three strains mice (C3H/Bi, B10.D2/n, and B10.D2/o). Microhematocrit values C3H decreased from a mean preinfection level 46.2% to low 35.6% on Day 6 infection. A reticulocytosis 14% developed by 13 reticulocyte returned normal coincidentally parasite elimination. erythrocytes were positive direct antiglobulin tests. Fifty percent the had only IgG1 bound their erythrocytes, while remaining animals various combinations IgG2, IgM, IgA, C3 addition IgG1. Erythrocyte-bound appeared play major pathogenic role production anemia. There no significant differences anemias as evaluated microhematocrit normocomplementemic strain (B10.D2/n) deficient fifth complement component (B10.D2/o) thus incapable sustaining complement-mediated lysis. In studied, time peak parasitemia corresponded most severe inverse correlation between number parasites levels.
