摘要: We previously reported that dehydroevodiamine.HCl (DHED) has anticholinesterase and antiamnesic activities. To verify the effects of DHED on cognitive deficits further, we tested it scopolamine-induced amnesia model rat using passive avoidance eight-arm radial maze tests. A single (20 mg/kg p.o.) repeated (10 administrations could significantly reverse latency time shortened by scopolamine (1 i.p.) to control level. The impaired spatial working memory induced was also improved a injection (6.25 in test. In addition, examined impairment histological changes brain after unilateral electrolytic lesion entorhinal cortex (EC) middle cerebral artery occlusion rats. caused EC were or ischemic insult once day for 7 days Histological analysis showed neuronal loss DHED-treated group notably reduced hippocampal area (CA1) rats dentate gyrus (CA1 CA3) EC-lesioned compared with nontreated group. infarction decreased administration 30 min before 6 h. These results suggest might be an effective drug not only Alzheimer's disease type, but vascular type dementia.
