摘要: A principal components analysis performed by David M. Smith on 47 U.S. state level indicators of social well-being yielded several components. The first two these are socio-economic and pathology. Structural hypotheses offered to explain differences in structural variables condensed a political, economic structure measures differentiation, flexibility-rigidity, progressive industrialization. These, along with population measures, determine substantial part the variance well-being.
